UNIZA dormitories mean more than just a lonely bed and a desk – it’s a place bursting with life. You’ll spend a significant portion of your time here, so it’s good to know where everything is. We won’t let you starve, either. UNIZA has 7 amazing catering facilities, offering a variety of meals – classic lunches, pizza, salads, sandwiches, or a fresh bar.

Veľký Diel – “a city within a city”

The largest UNIZA dormitory can accommodate more than 2,000 people. You will find units with different room types – from classic rooms with shared bathrooms to rooms with private ones.

👉 The dormitory grounds feature a buffet, café, pizzeria, self-service laundry, cinema auditorium, parking, and a Menza catering facility is fairly close as well. If you love company, fun events and having everything within walking distance, Veľký Diel should be your first choice.

Hliny – „dormitories with added perks“

At Hliny, you live in shared rooms (2+3). The showers are shared as well, but you get extra services: a gym, climbing wall, Thai boxing rings, squash, sauna, and massages.

👉 Not to mention a hairdresser, dentist, copy centre, and even a temp agency – all right on the premises. Ideal if you want to live an active lifestyle and have everything under one roof.

 

✨ Dormitories also serve as community centres – student organisations, clubs, or radio and television stations operate here. Whether you’re a gamer, a musician, or you just want to quickly fit into a group, you’ll always find your crew.

Catering facilitiesa

New menza – our main catering facility, where you can choose from a variety of meals or grab a baguette or smoothie.

Old menza – old-school vibe, yes, but willing to take care of you throughout the day.

Rectorate Building Cafeteria – coffee, desserts, pizza, sandwiches – ideal for a quick break.

Faculty of Management Science and Informatics and Faculty of Security Engineering – smaller snack bars offering pizza, burgers or salads.

Bistro at the AR Building – fast food and healthy FCC menu all in one place.

You can do everything with your ISIC card – order food online or pick it up on the spot. You can top up your credit at the credit machine.
